I don’t know if Mind Over Matter is a good title for this, but why not!
After my alarm went off this morning, I laid there thinking, “Boy I am Tired I don’t want to get up.” Really though I had gone to bed more than early enough, and I should have been feeling refreshed.
I thought this was strange, so instead of letting that little voice in my head say how tired I was, I stopped it and made it say boy I am super energetic and can’t wait to get up.
Almost immediately, I was ready to throw the covers off and get on with the day.
SO I guess long story short, don’t think things you don’t want to be true. I’m not saying deny the truth, just don’t let your mind trick you into things just because you have a want and not a need.
My mind was telling me I NEED to stay in bed but really it was a WANT. Just by changing my thought process from “Oh, I’m so tired.”, which I clearly wasn’t, to “Oh I’m so full of energy!” I didn’t want to stay in bed anymore.
I’m just going to keep an eye out for where I do this in other areas of my life and thought I should share it with you guys.
